Geology and archeology are explored at the Mineral & Lapidary Museum in exhibits ranging from a dinosaur egg found in China to minerals native to North Carolina. The museum is located in downtown Hendersonville near a number of galleries, restaurants and retail stores. Other exhibits include collections of local Indian artifacts, replicas of the Cullinan diamonds, impressive pieces of petrified wood and geodes from Mexico.
