I decided to take a date to flight being that it is the nicest Restraunt in town. We were excited to be there but sadly were disappointed. The service was bad and the food was boring and unimaginative. Simple sauces that can be easily recreated by any cook with sub par skills. When we complained to the server she sent the chef over and he simply told us the food would be taken off, but he just seemed not to care and blew us off. After our food was removed our bill was still over $60. The drinks are nearly double the price of any other local restrauants. If looking for a good fine dining experience then drive into Asheville.

Flight Wood Grill and Wine Bar has an urban feel but features the art of local artists. Everyone loves the bird mobile -- a flock of birds individually hang from the high ceiling but "fly" together. The bar is modern, but friendly. It's great to have a meal at the bar with others -- the same menu is offered, although the chef made a pasta dish for me, even though there is no pasta on the menu! Just mentioned it and presto! Flight features an applewood grill that you can smell at work up and down Main St. They do everything on the grill from filets to scallops. The soup specials are incredible....definitely not your mother's soup.

I love blackberries and the steak I had was made with a blackberry reduction - AWESOME!!! I can't wait to return!
